Travel Essentials
The spring/summer season is upon us and that means vacation time! I'm going on a trip to the beach with my family & thought I would share my natural travel essentials. I would also like to share a couple minimalist packing tips. So lets get into it already!
Tip #1
Bring those holy grail never fail products that you always rely on. Trips aren't a good time to test out new products! If you want to pack light bring the tried & true and those multi use products.
Tip #2
Planning your makeup looks & outfits for each day will help you keep track of what you really need. Instead of bringing a lot of things you may not use or wear, having a plan gives you more time to enjoy your trip. For example, if you know you'll be at a fancy club or restaurant, pack a dressier outfit & red lipstick.
Tip #3
Keep in mind where you are staying. If you have access to a laundry room, pack less clothes to wash & re-wear what you've brought. If you are worried about not being prepared for certain situations, remember if you have access to stores that will carry those "emergency situation" items.
Lets get into my essentials! These aren't specifically for a beach vacation & it isn't "airplane" travel friendly either. (Ps sorry about the poor picture quality)
Top Shelf:
Hair accessories: I no longer use elastic hair bands to prevent breakage so I have a scrunchy & a hair clip.
(lip gloss jar) Coconut Oil: I use this as my eye makeup remover. Nothing like coconut oil to get mascara off!
Coco Kind Full Brow Balm: Another multi-use product! I use it as eyebrow gel during the day, & as an eyebrow conditioner at night.
RMS: Un-coverup concealer #00, Lip2Cheek Illusive. I have a concealer/foundation & a blush/lipstick with only two products to pack!
Physicians Formula Organic Wear CC Cream: Before I used RMS, I brought this as my light coverage foundation. The organic wear line is great if you are looking to switch on a budget!
Bottom Shelf:
Vitality Extracts Immunity EO blend: I use this in my car diffuser or mixed into a DIY surface cleaner. Staying in Condos & Hotels isn't germ free so I have this guy tag along.
Nature Love Headache EO blend: This is a staple of mine. I suffer from weather triggered headaches all the time. Never hurts to bring it!
Calia Five Thieves EO blend: Just because vacation is relaxing doesn't mean my back & neck don't ache. I mix this into my lotion & enjoy the results.
Herbivore Botanicals Pink Cloud Rosewater Moisture Cream: I revieved a travel size of this & I love it so I'm bringing it along. I use this as my nighttime moisturizer.
(Blue tub) DIY Dry Shampoo: I mix arrowroot powder & cocoa powder until I have the desired brunette shade. I only wash my hair twice a week so this comes in handy for those in-between days!
Herbivore Botanicals Phoenix Regenerating Facial Oil: This is my favorite one out of the trial travel set. I love using this as my morning serum!
Leahlani Skincare Siren Serum: I am obsessed with this! I use it as a nighttime serum under my moisturizer. If you would like to see my Leahlani Skincare review check it out here

Acure Seriously Soothing Cleansing Cream: Only this brand for my face! This is the sensitive skin cleanser with Peony extract & Sunflower amino acid. I just switched to this because I had the Argan Oil + Mint Pore Minimizing Cleansing Cream (RIP). I was excited to try a new one & I'm obsessed with my choice. With a pleasantly light floral smell & a gentle creamy texture this is heaven in a bottle! This company just redid their packaging, & I dig it. I highly recommend trying them.
I also bring a pillow case, & a mini box fan. My sensitive skin doesnt handle strange pillows well. I have broken out before, most likely from the ditergents that hotels & condos use. Now I leave prepared! I've also experienced a broken condo fan, so I decided to bring my own travel size.
That is everything! Whoa that was a lot of stuff. I don't bring all of these items on every trip. I wanted to have a full ranged collection for you. I hope you enjoyed this post! I'm on the beach, loving life. Stay tuned for more posts after my vacation ;)
Lets get into my essentials! These aren't specifically for a beach vacation & it isn't "airplane" travel friendly either. (Ps sorry about the poor picture quality)
Top Shelf:
Caboo baby wipes: Instead of bringing my face cloths, I use these to take off my makeup remover before washing my face. They are made from sustainable bamboo, & are biodegradable, & hypoallergenic. You can also use them for other things so thats why I like bringing them along.
Badger Damascus Rose Beauty Balm: Makeup remover, eye serum, face/cuticle/hand moisturizer. Multi-use is the best way to go.
Acure Brightening Facial Scrub: I've been using this scrub for 3 years. I love it! When I travel I also use it as a body scrub on areas that need it.
Badger SPF 30: This has been my daily SPF for 3 years now. I can't seem to switch to anything else. The ingredients are so clean, & it's non Nano, non GMO.
(purple travel bottle) Solar Recover Everyday Moisturizer: I use this as an after sun spray. I love it! TLC for sunburnt skin.
Bottom Shelf:
Herbivore Botanicals Rose Hibiscus Coconut Water Facial Mist: It smells light & refreshing. Its very moisturizing. If you would like to see my Herbivore Botanicals review check it out here https://theorganicone.blogspot.com/2018/04/herbivore-botanicals-review.html
Shea Moisture Coconut Hibiscus Brightening Body Lotion: I love the smell! It reminds me of the beach because I bring this on vacations.
The Innate Life Rose Hair Elixir: My fine hair doesn't handle oils very well, but it enjoys this one! It controls my frizz & nourishes my hair.
Goat Milk Soap: I just purchased this at my local organic health store. Goat Milk soap is my favorite because its so gentle & moisturizing.
(Pink travel bottles) Calia Balancing Shampoo & Conditioner: This is just my regular shampoo/conditioner. I just fill my travel bottles so that I have it with me. I love this brand! If you are looking to switch to organic hair care products I highly recommend Calia.
(Clear travel bottle) Calia Balancing Leave-In Conditioner: This is just my regular detangler spray. I fill my travel bottle so I have it with me!
